I’m delighted to announce that registration has just begun for the first season of The Speakers Annex, our new lecture series at the Al Green Theatre, co-presented by the Miles Nadal JCC!

Setting the Scene: The Roots of Toronto Theatre

Starting this Monday, November 25th, our pals at the MNjcc are pleased to offer this fun 4-part series with theatre critic Lynn Slotkin exploring the vibrant history of Toronto’s theatre scene. From Royal Alex, Elgin and O’Keefe touring productions, to the 1960s explosion of groundbreaking companies Toronto Free, Passe Muraille, Tarragon and Factory, to independents who gave voices to specific communities like Nightwood, Obsidian and Buddies in Bad Times.
